At My Pension Expert, we specialise in independent financial advice for clients approaching and at-retirement. With the right advice, investments can play an important part in your financial strategy and are an excellent opportunity to put your hard-earned money to work for you.

What is an investment?

Investments are something which you buy or put money into with the goal of returning a profit. There are many types of investments ranging from stocks and shares, property, bonds and cash (savings accounts) all with varying levels of risk, together these make up your investment portfolio.

Our investment service

Is investing right for me?

Often individuals question whether investing is the right thing to do because they don’t feel like they have a big enough pot to invest, or don’t want to get bogged down in the complexities. We believe in making financial advice accessible for all, regardless of your experience. Our independent financial advisers will assess your circumstances, attitude to risk, and discuss what you are looking to achieve from your investments. They will provide you with the advice you need to make an informed decision and have the peace of mind that it’s the right one for you and your family. If after your appointment with an IFA, investing isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you – free of charge.

As with any financial decision, it is important to receive independent financial advice when considering investing your money – you can book a no-obligation appointment by requesting a callback or calling us free on 01302 639540.

How much does it cost?

Investment products are designed to return a profit after the deduction of any charges and fees. There are a number of charges associated with investments, some of which relate to the advice you receive, whilst others are linked to the investment platform and fund choice.

Unlike some advisers, our investment service provides a simple and transparent charging structure – we believe it is important that you fully understand what you are paying for and the value you receive in return.

Your independent financial adviser will explain all the applicable charges when they make their recommendation, and more information can be found on the ‘Understanding Investment Charges’ section of our website.
